For skiers looking to turn their Ikon Pass into more than just a ticket to the lifts, Unusual Experience is redefining what it means to explore the Alps. The Aosta Valley-based guiding company is offering fully customizable, locally guided ski adventures across some of Italy’s most iconic mountain destinations—all included in the Ikon Pass network.

Led by IFMGA-certified mountain guides born and raised in the region, Unusual Experience helps skiers craft tailor-made itineraries through resorts such as Cervinia, Courmayeur, Monterosa, La Thuile, and Pila. From freeride lines and ski safaris to ski-touring or on-piste exploration, each trip is built around the guest’s level, goals, and style.

Each Unusual Experience trip includes:

  • Personalized itinerary planning

  • IFMGA-certified local guide

  • Assistance with logistics and gear rental

Optional upgrades include airport transfers (from Geneva, Turin, or Milan), heliskiing, photo and video services, wellness experiences, and gourmet mountain dining. Trips are available from October through April, with a minimum of one day required. Designed for couples, families, or solo skiers, the program offers a low difficulty and fitness rating (1/5) with a perfect 5/5 for scenery—a balance of comfort, culture, and high-alpine adventure.

Rates start at €250 per person per day, based on a group of four. Accommodation and meals are not included, but the Unusual Experience team provides personalized recommendations for local chalets, lodges, and boutique hotels in each area.

Unusual Experience emphasizes the connection between place and people, blending the precision of professional guiding with the authenticity of local life.

“Skiing the Alps isn’t just about the runs—it’s about how you live them,” the company says. “Our guides know every hidden valley, every sunlit deck, and the best snow at the right time.”

For Ikon Pass holders, the offering turns familiar lift access into something far richer—a key to unlock the deep culture, food, and freedom of the Italian Alps.
