Olympic Valley, Calif. [August 25, 2025] — It’s Festival Season at The Village at Palisades Tahoe, and we’re closing out summer with two beloved community events that pair unforgettable experiences with meaningful causes.

August 31: 36th Annual Alpen Wine Fest

In partnership with Uncorked, the 36th Annual Alpen Wine Fest returns on Sunday, August 31, featuring all-inclusive tastings from more than 20 exceptional wineries. Guests will enjoy live music by Nick Eng Duo and Full Blast Trio feat. Cliff Porter, as well as a silent auction with unique offerings.

With a donation for a wine-tasting ticket, attendees receive a commemorative Alpen Wine Fest wine glass, unlimited tastings, and access to the day’s entertainment. While the event is open to all ages, participants must be 21 or older with valid ID to take part in the tastings.

All proceeds benefit Can Do MS, a non-profit foundation providing health and wellness education programs to help families living with multiple sclerosis thrive.

September 5: Guitar Strings vs. Chicken Wings

On Friday, September 5, six local restaurants and six bands will go head-to-head in the ultimate battle for bragging rights. Guests can cast their votes to crown the “Best Wings” and “Best Band.” Restaurants compete for the Wing vs. Wing Champion Trophy, while bands compete for a $500 cash prize.

This lively competition is not just about food and music—it is about giving back. All proceeds support the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science (TINS), a non-profit dedicated to conservation, education, and advancing ecological knowledge of the Tahoe region. TINS programs reach more than 8,200 students each year. Last year’s event raised nearly $40,000 for the organization.

Celebrate, Taste, and Give Back

From wine lovers to wing enthusiasts, these two signature events highlight the best of Tahoe’s food, music, and community spirit, all while raising funds for organizations making a difference.
