It’s back! After the super successful inaugural ‘Kings and Queens of Corbet’s’ event last season, Jackson Hole is proud to announce the lineup for this year’s event. Looking at the athletes involved, this year promises to be even bigger and better, with competitors going for even more impressive and gnarlier entrances into one of the world’s most famous runs.

Kings and Queens of Corbet’s is sure to electrify the skiing and snowboard community. The invitational event has filled up with the world’s top freeriders.

“We’re excited to host Kings and Queens again this winter, as well as the caliber of athlete we have competing,” stated JHMR Events and Partnership Manager, Jess McMillian.  She went on to note, “We have reigning King and Queen from last year Karl Fostvedt and Caite Zelief along with accomplished athletes like Aaron Blunk, Hana Beaman, and Travis Rice; the bar has been raised, and we’re thrilled to see where they take the competition this year.”

Hosted like a surf competition, the contest will be held one day within a six-day window to create optimal conditions. The competition window is February 11-16, 2019. JHMR will update the status of the event each afternoon on their website and on JHMR’s social channels the day prior to the event.  Viewing of the event will take place below the Couloir, in Tensleep Bowl, and the competition is expected to start at 10 am.  JHMR wants to remind spectators; there is no beginner or intermediate terrain from the spectator venue down to the bottom of the mountain.

Kings and Queens of Corbet’s is supported by GoPro, Smartwool, Gortex, Yeti and Red Bull bringing together some of the world’s best action sports networks, products, and athletes to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  Freeskier is hosting the official Kings and Queens after-party Saturday, February 16 at the Pink Garter Theatre, in downtown Jackson, where the winners of the competition will be crowned at 9:15 pm.
