Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY: January Was the 3rd Snowiest Month EVER Recorded

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY got 14 FEET of snow in January 2020, breaking their 45 year-long record. And 11 of those feet fell before January 15th, too. Locals there skied a lot of powder but also shoveled A LOT of snow last month. Here are the figures taken from JHMR:

  • January was the third snowiest month ever recorded in history, behind December 1996 & February 2019. 
  • This was the highest total snowfall for January ever in recorded history (45 years!) as Rendezvous Bowl received 168″. This surpasses the old record of 150″ in 1998 by over a foot!
  • 2nd highest January snowfall total  for Raymer Plot in recorded history at 177″.
  • Over 11 FEET of snow fell by January 15.
