Aerial Tram Currently Open, Via Ferrata Opens June 17

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is pleased to announce that it will continue to roll out a full slate of summer activities at the Resort beginning June 10, including sightseeing on the Bridger Gondola, trails off the Teewinot Lift in the Jackson Hole Bike Park and more.

While some activities are currently open, such as the Aerial Tram, others will open on or after the rollout date. Evening sightseeing on the Bridger Gondola will open on June 11. World-class climbing on the Via Ferrata will open on June 17, and paragliding is available now.

“Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is excited to open the rest of our summer activities after one of the snowiest winter seasons in the Resort’s history. JHMR offers days’ worth of adventure for the entire family, including sightseeing off the Aerial Tram, hiking, biking, climbing on the Via Ferrata, drinks on The Deck, and many great food and shopping options.”

– Andrew Way, vice president of marketing

Other summer activities opening June 10 include the Sweetwater Gondola, climbing wall, ropes course, and bungee trampoline. JHMR will open additional trails off the Sweetwater Gondola in the bike park when trail conditions allow. The bike park includes novice trails, advanced trails, adaptive trails, pump tracks, and jump lines. Starting June 10, trails off the Teewinot Lift will be open daily between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

To help guests take advantage of biking activities, JHMR offers bike rentals, JH Sports Youth Bike Camps, private mountain bike park guides, and adaptive mountain biking. To purchase individual tickets or a season pass to the bike park, click here.

The celebrated Aerial Tram is already open for the season, giving visitors access to one of the most identifiable and popular attractions at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. When visitors reach the summit, they’re greeted with 360-degree views of the Tetons, Jackson Hole Valley, and surrounding mountain ranges. The Aerial Tram operates daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 8. Day ticket pricing and more information can be found online.

Restaurant openings on June 10 include the Tin Can Cantina and the Off-Piste Market, while Piste Mountain Bistro will open on June 11, and The Deck @ Piste will open on June 18. RPK3 and Corbet’s Cabin are both currently open.

JHMR reminds all guests that early-season conditions still exist and that those interested in visiting the Resort in May and early June should bring appropriate clothing to stay warm and dry. Guests are allowed to ski in the backcountry, accessible through the Resort’s backcountry gates located near the top of the Aerial Tram, but as part of JHMR’s special-use permit with Bridger-Teton National Forest, no skiing is permitted within the ski area boundary after the winter operating season. Also, no ski patrol representatives are on duty. Guests with ski gear can load the tram but not the gondolas.

Combined, the Resort’s activities offer something for everyone this summer. For a complete overview of summer operations, visit www.jacksonhole.com/summer.
