Winter has shown its colors for the first time during the lead up to the 2018-19 season at Jackson Hole, WY. Heavy winds, cooling temperatures, and a considerable amount of moisture convened for an early dose of winter weather in the Tetons Sunday evening, leaving our favorite peaks with its first white coat of the year.
A few inches of snow piled up as yesterday’s front moved through overnight and the valley cooled. Local weather enthusiasts watched anxiously as predictions for another pulse of the storm were showing potential snow totals of 4-8 inches in the mountains into Tuesday morning. These same meteorologists have placed the areas surrounding Rendezvous Mountain in our first Winter Weather Advisory of the season until early Tuesday.
