Jackson Hole, WY was pure magic today.
Today was the most fun I’ve ever had on a storm day at Jackson Hole. Big thanks to my buddies for showing me around. Yes friends on a powder day.
The snow was impressively deep today.
We started the day on an early tram and it was simply ridiculous up there.
Rendezvous Bowl was smooth, wind-buffed, smokey.
The Alta Chutes were deep, sluffy, easy.
The Field Goal was technical, log-jammed, scary.
The air on Nightmare was fun, the landing was flat.
Sublette ridge was fast, wide-open, untouched. So fun.
The Hobacks were fresh, smooth, fun.
We hit Cablesouth Cafe for pizza, beer, and a dry off/warm up at about 11am.
Back out around noon straight to Apres Vous backcountry. Pillows. They’re big, perfect, full of flat landings, hoots, and smiles.
After 3 pillow laps, we headed back up top and dipped into the backcountry to the south. It was horrifically deep out there. Our buddy Teton went big. The skiing was unreal. Unreal. You could jump off everything. Landings were fat. Turns were absolutely explosive.
After a big turn, the smoke from your turn would rise, swirl, and hang for seconds…
Today was an excellent day at Jackson Hole. I couldn’t have possibly asked for me.
Thanks.
