Jackson Hole, WY was deep today. Dry up high, wet down low, soft and fun everywhere. 

Rendezvous Bowl was soft and smooth. 

The backcountry was deep, sendy, and fun.

Visibility wasn’t great today simply because it was snowing so damned hard today.  The snow picked up throughout the day and it was really nuking at 3pm on our last lap.  On our last two laps, the falling snow was wet at the bottom of the mountain.  When I got home to Jackson, WY at 4:30pm, it was raining.  I’m very confident tomorrow will be amazing at Jackson Hole ski resort nonetheless.

On our first lap, we could still feel the bottom down low on the mountain but the top was deep and fun. By our last lap, everything was soft – top to bottom and the top was ridiculous.

The NOAA forecast is for big snow tonight with 12-30″ of new snow in the Tetons by Wednesday morning.

Avalanche danger in the Tetons is currently rated as CONSIDERABLE (the rating the most people die under).  

We know of 2 people who got caught in slides in east northeast facing terrain just south of Jackson Hole ski resort, WY yesterday who were uninjured.  

We know of one person who was caught in a slide in east northeast facing terrain just south of Jackson Hole ski resort, WY today who sustained a shoulder/ribs injury.  Please be careful out there.

High winds shut down the Sublette Chair today at 11:52pm.  Everything else stayed open.
