Jay Peak Resort, VT, announced yesterday that they will open next weekend for one last hurrah to end the season.
“Soooooo….how about one more weekend? We know we said May 1 would be it for lifts, but there’s just too much snow not to have another go. We’ll be re-opening Stateside (again) May 7-8. Stay tuned for the Lift schedule.”
The resort will be spinning lifts on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May, thanks to the fact they have so much snow! This is the latest they’ve remained open since at least 2015. Last year they closed on May 1st.
Once Jay Peak closes, Killington Resort, VT, will be left flying the flag for the east, staying open as long as conditions permit.
