Squaw Valley, USA got 26″ of snow from last weekend’s storms. Â It didn’t end up too soft, but it ended up pretty smooth. Â This video tells the truth of how it skied. Â Looks a bit hard, but fun.
This storm was definitely a step in the right direction and we’re hoping more is on the way soon. Â Tahoe needs the snow, California needs the water.
Mt. Rose ski resort in Nevada got 45″ of snow out of this weekend’s storms at the top of the mountain. Â

Squaw, wind hold no gold coast big blue to access shirley lake, had to hike from funitel, wed feb 11, no headwall, claimed to be iced over on squaw fb page, no time or date given for opening, thursday, tomorrow, 4 days arter storm still cant get major lift open for 9am start, pathetic.

Apparently Headwall suffered some sort of damage during the 100+ mph winds to a bunch of the safety sensors on the towers that alert for derailment or something. They’ve had to replace them one by one. Saw it spinning this afternoon. It must be getting close.
yep, yesterday was definitely a day not to follow just ‘anyone’ down their line. I was getting that, some of the skiing I saw.
