Today was forecast to be a big storm day with about 20cms of snow falling.
Instead, it was sunny most the day.
My buddy from Squaw, Ryan Faye, and I took advantage of the sun and cruised out into the Kicking Horse, BC backcountry.
Conditions were good out there and the terrain was gorgeous.
We found powder, untracked lines, more powder, and some great views.
Wasn’t too cold today which made being outside a joy.
This place is special.
Clouds did roll in half way through the day but the visibility stayed mostly good.
We skied two chutes and an open gully and the snow was ok in the first chute, fresh and fun in the 2nd chute and absolutely dreamy in the gully.
Kicking Horse reported 6cms of snow snow overnight last night.
The inbounds skiing was good today as well with a couple of inches of fresh. The jumps were fun.
