Killington Resort, VT, to Remain Open Through Memorial Day

Killington Resort in Vermont is known to be one of the first ski areas to open for the ski season on the East Coast and the last to close. This is mainly due to its ‘Superstar’ trail, which holds snow exceptionally well and is the location of the annual Killington Cup every Thanksgiving at the resort.

This spring, Killington hopes to keep Superstar open through Memorial Day, as reported by  WCAX-TV Channel 3 News, which visited the Vermont ski area earlier this week.

SnowBrains was also there at the weekend and witnessed many skiers and riders enjoying the spring snow on Superstar in t-shirts, shorts, and funky costumes.

Resort management plans to keep Killington open through Memorial Day, but if conditions cooperate, could they stay open into June?

The video below shows how much snow is lingering on Superstar as of May 14. It doesn’t look bad for the middle of May! With the resort staying open through the month, Beast365 passholders can win a free T-shirt if they manage to ski or snowboard, mountain bike, and golf over the course of Memorial Day weekend.

“We are planning to also spin Superstar Quad on Memorial Day Monday, if conditions allow. Beast365 passholders who manage to ski or snowboard, mountain bike, and golf over the course of the 4-day weekend can score a free T-shirt.”
