Kirkwood ski resort in California is set to open tomorrow. Â This will be the 3rd ski resort to be open in Lake Tahoe after Boreal opened a couple weeks ago and Heavenly opened Saturday.
Kirkwood got 10-18â of snow at of last weekâs storm. Â That new snow in addition to recent snowmaking efforts was just enough for the resort to get one chair and two trails open this week.
The Forecast this week is for nothing but sun until Thanksgiving day with highs in the high 40s and low 50s at Kirkwood. Â Weâre still hoping that we get a decent snowstorm on Turkey Day, but it doesnât look too promising just yet.

– Lifts: Â Solitude (chair 5)
– Trails: Â Lower Zachary & Outlaw
– Lifts will be open from 9am – 4pm

4 Tahoe area resorts are open, Boreal, Northstar, heavenly and Kirkwood,
but………………… in reality northstar is a fucking joke and a everything I hate about where the industry has gone, so lets just not count it.
