Lake Tahoe has fallen to its natural rim (6,223′) as of Monday, September 12th, 2016.

This means no more Truckee River – at least from Tahoe City to Alpine Meadows where local creeks start filling the Truckee River again.  

“As you can see from the picture of the Truckee River near the outlet of Lake Tahoe, little additional water is flowing into the river from the lake.” – NOAA Reno, NV today
