Lake Tahoe received it’s 2nd solid winter storm in 3 days yesterday.  The first storm dropped up to 8″ on the west side of the lake.  Yesterdays storm dropped up to 2-feet of snow at Kirkwood.  This storm is showing up very very late, but we’ll take it.

Squaw has now broken 200″ of snowfall for the 2014/15 winter season.  That adds up to about 44% of their average of 450″.

All this new snowfall was enough for Squaw to extend their season another week to April 19th.

  1. I was in line at 8:50 and it was triple the size. Then in line for 10 by 10:15, it was massive, longest of the year bar none. The 2+ feet was more than worth the larger than we’re used to Kirkwood lift lines.

    1. I know that for my friends and I, it’s not worth the drive to get there at this point. Even with 2 feet of fresh snow, it’s 2 feet on dirt in some places. Over it until next year, and if next year isn’t better, it’ll be time to move.

      1. It’s 2 feet on top of several inches from Sunday / Monday. It’ll be one of the better days all season.
