Las Leñas ski resort in Argentina has officially announced it is opening for winter 2025 on June 28, in line with traditional late‑June openings.
“Dear all, we inform you that the scheduled opening date for the ski season is Saturday, June 28th. Based on recent snowfall, work is being carried out throughout the mountain to prepare as many slopes as possible for that date. We look forward to seeing you in the Valley.”

Located in the Mendoza Province at elevations spanning 7,349 feet to 11,253 feet (2,240 meters to 3,430 meters), Las Leñas is renowned for its 7,200 acres of extensive lift-served terrain, comprising 30 maintained runs and an additional 36,000 acres of off‑piste routes. The resort boasts a vertical drop of approximately 3,904 feet (1,190 meters) and features 14 ski lifts.

Last season’s operations extended from June 27 to late September, delivering around 126 days of skiing. Elsewhere in Argentina, Cerro Bayo Ski Boutique opened with beginner terrain on June 18, Cerro Castor opens on Friday, June 27, and Cerro Catedral opens the “last days of June or the first days of July.”
With the June 28 opening confirmed, guests can expect access to downhill and off‑piste skiing through late September, conditions permitting. As the season approaches, the resort encourages travellers to monitor snow reports, safety advisories, and lift operations closely, particularly given Las Leñas’s remote location and variable weather.
