Two webcam images, just one week apart.

The mega-storm forecast to dump up to 10-FEET on ski resorts in South America certainly delivered.

The image above shows webcam images from Las LeƱas, Argentina, just seven days apart. What a difference!

With historically low snowfall this year likely caused by an ongoing, decade-long drought, hopefully, this is a start for these ski areas to catch up on much-needed snowfall.

  1. Will any upper lifts open? I’m actually surprised to see anything open. Who can get there on short notice? No one from outside Argentina AFAIK. No surprise Las Leans’ own website as well as consolidator websites like OnTheSnow and snow-forecast still show Las Lenas as closed.

    1. i heard that tomorrow the private company which run the mountain concession will decide if will open…it all depende if they can be open for al least 2 weeks in order to win some money
