Skiers and snowboarders looking to stretch their dollars this winter may find one of the best bargains in the country just outside Las Vegas. Lee Canyon announced this week that single-day lift tickets are now on sale for as little as $7 on select dates leading up to the November 21 season opener.
The deal comes with an added perk: each $7 ticket includes $10 in “Corduroy Cash” that can be redeemed for food, drinks, or other purchases at the resort. Even during peak periods, prices remain well below typical industry rates, with advance-purchase tickets currently starting at $35 and ski or snowboard rentals at $19. That’s unheard of in an industry where it’s hard to find a day lift ticket for under $100 anywhere along with costly rental gear.
Lee Canyon, located about an hour’s drive from Las Vegas in the Spring Mountains, markets itself as a convenient day-trip option for locals and visitors. The resort typically operates from late November through early April, offering three lifts, a terrain park, and base-area amenities.
The early-season ticket promotion is part of a broader push by ski areas nationwide to encourage guests to buy online and in advance, where prices are often lowest. Walk-up window rates at larger resorts can now exceed $200 per day, with 6 resorts breaking the $300 mark this season, making Lee Canyon’s sale stand out amongst the titans of the ski industry.
With 70 days until opening day, the resort is building momentum through its social media channels, urging followers to “lock in your lift tickets” before the cheapest options sell out.
Lee Canyon Overview
Lee Canyon, located in the Spring Mountains about an hour northwest of Las Vegas, is Nevada’s premier local ski area and a massive change to the surrounding desert. The resort sits at 8,500 feet with terrain reaching above 11,000 feet, offering roughly 195 acres of lift-served runs, another 250 acres of hike-to terrain, and about 31 trails that range from beginner to expert. Averaging more than 160 inches of snowfall annually and supplemented by snowmaking, Lee Canyon features five lifts, a base lodge with rentals and dining, and programs that cater to both families and advanced skiers. Its proximity to Las Vegas makes it a popular day-trip destination, drawing locals and visitors alike for a quick escape into alpine scenery, and it now operates year-round with hiking, biking, and summer events complementing its winter offerings.
