Lindsey Vonn Returned to Racing TODAY for 1st Time in 10 Months

SnowBrains |

Lindsey Vonn was back on the race course today after severely injuring her knee in Austria last February.  Lindsey finished today’s Downhill in Lake Louise, Canada with a time of 1:59.22.  That time was good enough to get Lindsy 41st place at the World Cup event.

This isn’t the placement Lindsey is used to.  She’s used to simply dominating.  This was her first race back, she was taking it easy and it certainly was a confidence booster.

Well, I guess I’m a little rusty…I was more nervous than normal and I didn’t ski with confidence…guess that happens after blowing out your knee and not racing for 10 months. Despite my result I’m ecstatic to be racing again and can’t wait for another race tomorrow! As always, thank you for the support  Xo Lindsey

It appears that Lindsey will be competing in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in two months time.
