Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area will reopen for a bonus weekend of skiing and riding this weekend, the resort announced on social media on Sunday. After receiving up to 11 inches of fresh snow earlier this week, the mountain will spin lifts on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27.

Lift operations will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for the extended weekend will be available at a discounted rate.

The announcement follows a spring storm that delivered 8 to 11 inches of snow across the mountain on Monday, April 21. The snowfall totals varied by elevation and marked a rare late-season refresh for the northern Rockies. According to the National Weather Service, midweek conditions are expected to be warm and sunny, while the weekend could bring a mix of rain and snow.

Located on the Montana-Idaho border, Lookout Pass is often one of the last ski areas in the region to close for the season. This yearโ€™s storm provided just enough of a boost for the resort to keep the lifts turning a little longer.
