It’s now looking like mostly rain for Squaw and Tahoe today. Snow levels are gonna start around 8,200 feet this morning(top of Squaw is 8,600 feet) before dropping to around 6,700 feet by around 5pm.

We’ve still got our fingers crossed for a few inches above 8,000 feet overnight. And in reality, it’s very possible. Maybe up on Granite Chief there’ll be a few inches to goof off on tomorrow morning.

SO, lets switch our attention to Sunday’s Storm and Happy Thoughts:
– Hopefully 3-6 inches of new snow with snow levels around 6,000 – 7,000 feet
“The forecast models are still not set on the track of the cold low for Sunday into Monday. This morning’s run of the GFS and Euro had the low coming down over CA with 3-6 inches for the mountains.” – Brian Allegretto/Open Snow.com
on monday, it’ll be only upper mountain anyway, so now worries. let the lower mountain wash away
