Ten years ago, on January 19th, 2012, the skiing world lost Canadian freeskier, Sarah Burke. Sarah received an injury to the back of her head and neck while training in the halfpipe at Park City ski resort in Utah. Sarah’s death was devastating for the ski world.
Sarah was a champion, tried and true, with 4 X Games gold medals, two Dew Tour golds, and a FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships gold medal. All these golds were in the halfpipe.
Sarah was a major inspiration to skiers everywhere. Thank you, Sarah.
