Love is in the air…and apparently riding up the Blackfoot Chair. This Valentine’s Day, Brian Head Resort, Utah, is swapping roses for chairlifts with Love Lift Speed Dating, happening February 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Blackfoot Chairlift.
Here’s how it works: singles simply opt in at the lift line and get paired with a new seatmate every ride. That’s six glorious minutes to talk powder preferences, favorite après spots, and whether pineapple belongs on pizza (critical compatibility test). If sparks fly, you can ski or ride off into the sunset together. If not? No awkward exits—just glide back into the lift line and meet your next potential mountain soulmate.

It’s speed dating, but with better views and fewer fluorescent lights. The only requirements? You must be 18 or older, able to ski or snowboard, and have a lift ticket or season pass. In other words, you need edges—both on your skis and in your flirting game.

And honestly, is there a better place to meet someone than on a chairlift? You’re strapped in, there’s nowhere to scroll, and if conversation stalls, you can always comment on the snow conditions. Worst case scenario, you get a scenic lift ride. Best case? You find someone to share hot chocolate—or a powder day—with.
Cupid just traded wings for a lift ticket at Brian Head Resort.
