Loveland Ski Area in Georgetown, CO will open for the ski season on Thursday, November 10th. After a long stretch of warm temperatures and tough snow-making conditions, Loveland finally had the opportunity to make some snow this weekend and produce enough to open this week. Loveland is currently in preparation mode for opening day, they just have to put the finishing touches on Homerun and then they will be good to go.
“The waiting game is finally over. The persistent warm weather made things difficult this fall, but our snowmaking team has done an amazing job getting the mountain ready for opening day,” said Rob Goodell, director of business operations.
Opening Day Details:

- 9:00am to 4:00 pm
- Lift 1
- Catwalk, Mambo, and Home Run combining to provide skiers with nearly 1,000 vertical feet of top-to-bottom skiing

It won’t be long until we are be back in the White Room at Loveland Ski Area, but until then, its nice to see them adding to list of open resorts in Colorado this season. This opening day should be great and its definitely increasing the anticipation of full-on ski season!
“We already have great coverage on most of the run and just have to put the finishing touches on the lower portion of Home Run. While we are opening later than we had hoped, our Opening Day run will provide our guests with the exceptional early season snow they have come to expect at Loveland. We look forward to another long and snowy winter at Loveland and invite everyone to join us on Thursday to kick off the season,” Goodell continued to say.
