Lyft Introduces New ‘Ski Rack’ Mode in Colorado

Ride-share service Lyft just announced the introduction of a new service in the Colorado high country, called Ski Rack.

If you’re heading to Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Snowmass, Steamboat Springs, Telluride, Winter Park and Granby, Ski Rack can make those car-free trips to the mountains a little easier (or just your post-aprés ride home).

Winter is here and it’s time to dust off your gear and hit the slopes. This year it’s never been easier — simply tap to request Lyft Ski Rack in the app and you’ll be matched with a vehicle equipped to take your skis or your snowboards, according to their blog

You’ll be charged your usual ride fare with an additional cost of $8 for a vehicle with a ski rack, and just like with any other type of Lyft ride, you can share the cost with fellow passengers.

For readers in Colorado wishing to test drive this great new feature, head here to score $5 off your first Ski Rack ride.
