This weekend is Mammoth Mountain, CA’s final weekend of the season.

Mammoth will close on Sunday after having been open for 219 days this season!

Last season Mammoth was open for an astonishing 273 days…

We drove up to Mammoth from the 114ºF heat of Palm Springs last night and arrived at 2:30am.

Admittedly, I felt a bit underwater today, but my buddy Casey Cane was On Fire!

He ripped laps from 7:30am until closing at 1pm and said that it was soft nearly everywhere by 8:30am.

I showed up at 10am and things were plenty soft and fun.

The off-piste on Chair 23 is still skiing beautifully – especially for mid-June.

Temps were in the 60s and there was a stiff breeze that made a shell jacket just right.

The snow is skiing great.

Chair 3 and Chair 23 are the only chairs currently open for skiing and they’re both skiing well.

I’m fired up for the next couple of days here in Mammoth and to be skiing off chairlifts in mid-June!
