Mammoth Mountain will open for skiing and riding on Thursday, November 20, the resort announced on social media. The update follows last week’s pause, when shifting storm timing pushed the original plan off the calendar.
“Thanks to the teamwork of Mother Nature and our snowmaking crews, these colder temps have enabled us to make substantial progress on our base,” the resort said, adding that a full operational plan with lifts, runs, and on-mountain services will be shared in the next couple of days.
The new date replaces the previously targeted November 15 opening. Mammoth said it will continue final prep as temperatures stay favorable for snowmaking.
