Mammoth Mountain, CA, received a foot of new snow Monday, with a further 7+ feet possible over the next few days. Mammoth opened for the season on October 29th and has remained open since.

With another major storm system setting up for next week, this is just the warm-up!

The resort expects that operations in the coming days are likely to be impacted by heavy wind and snow, and staff work round the clock to ensure the resort and mountain are safe for us to enjoy.

Canyon Lodge will remain open this week with limited services, and lift operations in the area will be weather-dependent. The Village Gondola will remain open this week.

Those traveling to Mammoth Lakes are reminded to check Cal Trans for current road and snow conditions.

Another major system is aimed at the Eastern Sierra and will likely bring heavy snowfall starting December 21st.
