Mammoth Mountain ski resort in California opens for the 2013/14 winter season on November 7th, 2013.  That’s only 9 days from today…

Yesterday, Mammoth got 10-12 inches of new snow at the bottom of the mountain at the Main Lodge.  They must have gotten some good snow numbers 3,000 vertical feet up on the summit (the number below for the summit can’t be correct).

9 days from today is soon to now.  Real soon.  Locals and visitors will be ripping laps at Mammoth in 9 days.

We forecast a lot of skiers and riders from Tahoe making their early season pilgrimage to satisfy their nasty, snow-lust.  That lust is likely frothing right now after the big snow that Tahoe got today.  Although, we do know that a few guys got out and skied in Tahoe today.  That alone proves how hard these guys are frothing.
