Mammoth Mountain continues to deliver with phenomenal snow conditions and cover for November. I’ve seeing lots of familiar Tahoe faces around here the past 2 days which tells you something about how good it’s skiing out here.

We ventured out a bit further today and found great snow under the Paranoids and some firm but chalky snow on Dave’s. Dropout stayed good all day as did the bumps in West Bowl.

Currently, Mammoth is operating Chairs 1, 2, 3, 11 and the Gondola to the top. A little bird told us that will change starting Friday.

  • Chairs to be added Friday – 5, 10, 12
  • Chairs to be added Saturday – 4, 6, 13, 14, 23, Main Lodge CarpetsScreen Shot 2015-11-18 at 6.01.45 PM

The best skiing in California is just getting better! Hopefully the snow next week in Tahoe can get some other resorts on the same page.

  1. The snow from the former storm delivered some great powder. The latter storm unfortunately had upslope wind which stripped cover from the top of the mountain. Some more sheltered areas like West Bowl and Gravy Chute were more filled in this week though. And the groomers are being widened and expanded with overnight snowmaking assistance to chairs 4,5,12,13,14 by this weekend as noted in this post.

  2. In other news: you skied mammoth AGAIN. How about a Mt rose report which is open to the top? Thank you
