Wow, would you believe it, what a difference in just 2 weeks! The recent May storms that have hit Mammoth Mountain, CA have certainly been kind to powder-hungry skiers.
The picture on the left was not taken in #FebuBURIED, but TODAY, showing the sign post totally covered. Compare that to the beautiful, sunny spring day on 5th May when 6-feet of the 18-foot-tall post was fully visible.

Mammoth is currently sitting on a 150″ summit base, and has received 698″ of snowfall this season. The latest storm to hit has dumped 15″.
Mid May Powder Days! Hell yeah, bring it on. And with the resort staying open through 4th July weekend at least, there’s plenty of turns still to be made.
