Marijuana Sales Are Forecasted To Surpass Soda Sales By 2030

According to The Cannabist, marijuana sales are expected to surpass soda sales by the year 2030. In 2017, North American soda sales were $76.4 billion, which was lower than the $78.3 billion that was generated from them in 2016. A recent study that was done by Cowen & Co. forecasted that cannabis sales will reach $75 billion by 2030, which would be greater than the annual soda sales.

Recently, soda sales in North America have been declining, as consumers are becoming more and more health conscious. At the same time, cannabis sales have been increasing exponentially and that’s not expected to stop as more states are working to legalize it.
