You know how the Marte chair at Las Lenas, Argentina is never open. ย Almost never open, ya know?
Well, yesterdayย was Las Lenas’ very first day of operations for 2014 and the Marte was open. ย Don’t believe us? ย You don’t have to, we’ve got pictures.
Las Lenas got record amounts of snow earlier this month. ย Then it got hot. ย Real hot. ย So the snow isn’t great. ย But we can guarantee that there is no one at Lenas right now and the Marte is open.
If nothing else, there is lots of “good for you skiing” to be had to hammer those legs back into shape.
The forecast for Las Lenas has nothing in it but hot temperatures for the next 10 days. ย A very normal Las Lenas forecast. ย This place is sick and it’s the best ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere when it’s good…. ย but that’s the catch: ย when it’s good. ย Lenas hasn’t had a good season since 2008. ย But we have our fingers crossed for this year and we have reporters in place ready to kiss and tell.
AND our weather guy just told us that July is looking Big and Wet for Lenas… ย Lets hope so.
