Mary Jane at Winter Park! PC: Winter Park

According to a recent press release from Winter Park Resort, the majority of the mountain will stick to its original plan and close on April 24th, while the Mary Jane side will stay open until May 7th! This extended season is attributed to the 61.5 inches of snow that fell on Winter Park and Mary Jane throughout the month of March so far. Most of this snow fell from Monday, March 14th to Friday, March 18th, where Winter Park Resort picked up 42 inches of fresh snow.

“All that snow adds up to 13 extra days of Mary Jane’s world-famous moguls, tree-skiing, and C-Lot parties, a fitting continuation of what has been a stellar 40th anniversary for Colorado’s favorite lady,” stated Winter Park Resorts in a recent press release.

This extension is ideal considering the fact that Winter Park is celebrating Mary Jane’s 40th Anniversary and what better way to celebrate than providing guests with 13 extra days of world-famous moguls, tree-skiing, and C-Lot parties. Lodging will still be available at Winter Park Resort properties, including Fraser Crossing/Founder’s Pointe, Zephyr Mountain Lodge, and the Vintage Hotel and select Winter Park shopping/restaurants will be open, but the center of the celebration will be the Mary Jane base, with music and entertainment scheduled throughout the extended days. Also, Shuttle buses will be available for transportation from the Winter Park side or visitors can take advantage of closer, free parking at the Mary Jane base area.
