Jackson Hole Mountain Resort CEO Mary Kate Buckley will step down on May 31, 2025, after seven years of transformative leadership, with COO Doug Pierini set to take over. Buckley, who took the helm in 2018, spearheaded major infrastructure upgrades, expanded employee housing, and strengthened sustainability initiatives, leaving a lasting impact on the resort. She played a pivotal role in guiding JHMR through the pandemic, implementing capacity management strategies, and enhancing guest services.

โ€œThe successes of the past seven years are a testament to the incredible team of employees Iโ€™ve had the privilege to lead,โ€ Buckley said, according to a blog post from JHMR. She expressed confidence in the resortโ€™s future under new ownership and the leadership transition to Pierini.

Pierini, who joined JHMR as Chief Operating Officer in July, will officially assume the CEO role on June 1. He brings extensive experience from Vail Resorts, where he oversaw operations across North America and Australia, and has deep ties to Jackson Hole from his early career in the Mountain Sports School.

โ€œDoug is a strong leader with a deep understanding of both the operational and cultural aspects that make Jackson Hole Mountain Resort so special,โ€ JHMR owner Mike Corbat said. โ€œWe are confident his vision will carry JHMR into an exciting future while preserving its independent spirit.โ€

With Pierini now at the steering wheel, JHMR remains committed to providing a world-class mountain experience, advancing sustainability, and supporting the local community.
