The latest update on Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher is no good. Doctors now say it is likely that he will remain in a coma for the rest of his life.

Schumacher has remained in a coma after a December ski crash in Meribel, France. Since the accident he has remained at the Hospital in Grenoble, France. His wife, Corinna, and brother, Ralf, are consulting experts throughout Europe on options to construct a medical facility at the Schumacher household in Geneva where Michael can be cared for. The coma was medically induced as a last resort to prevent sever brain damage. There were some initially promising signs when doctors began attempting to re-awaken Schumacher.

Schumacher was wearing a helmet when he fell and landed directly on his head. The force and direction of the blow cracked the helmet, but still caused Schumacher severe brain trauma.
