Monarch Mountain, CO, is excited to announce it is opening Monarch at the Crest at the top of Monarch Pass on Friday, May 19, 2023. Since the ski area purchased the historic scenic tramway and gift shop in October they have been remodeling and reimagining the space to better suit the needs of those who recreate in the area.
The popular roadside stop now features a visitor center, restaurant, and sports shop stocked with an array of gear and gifts for travelers and sports enthusiasts.

Monarch Mountain’s experienced lift mechanics are in the process of upgrading the scenic tramway, and the business plans to host a grand opening when the historic attraction is ready. The official date is to be announced shortly. Ample parking will continue to be provided for all existing recreation endeavors in the area.
