Exceptional conditions have enabled Monarch Mountain, CO, to extend its season until April 16, 2023. Monarch Mountain is located right on the Continental Divide of the Sawatch Range in the Southern Rocky Mountains and naturally receives an abundance of snowfall. This season, Monarch has seen 224” of snowfall, and 100% of the snowpack at Monarch is natural, allowing for unmatched ski and boarding conditions. The resort stretches across 800 acres and is serviced by 7 lifts.

The resort made the announcement on Sunday, March 12, 2023, that after the most recent storm cycle, Monarch Mountain will extend the ski season for an additional week. Monarch’s closing day will now be Sunday, April 16, 2023, and will also be the day for the Gunbarrel Challenge.

“As always, we want to give our guests the most time on the snow as possible. The weather doesn’t always cooperate with that ideal, but the recent snows have helped tremendously,” Monarch Mountain GM and COO Randy Stroud said.

In addition, Monarch Mountain Wings passes are still on sale. You can ski the rest of this season and all next season for only $659. However, partner resorts are valid for the 23/24 season only.
