For Michigan skiers looking to ski outside the Mitten State this winter, the Mount Bohemia pass might be the perfect option.
Mount Bohemia recently announced the addition of Idaho’s Kelly Canyon as one of its season pass partners for the 2026-27 season. Season pass holders at Mount Bohemia can now enjoy three free days of skiing at Kelly Canyon — perfect for Michiganders planning a trip to ski out west this winter.
“Another new reciprocal partner!” Mount Bohemia wrote in its announcement. “Kelly Canyon Resort of Idaho is a true hidden gem.”
With Mount Bohemia already offering one of the most affordable season pass deals in the country, the addition of Kelly Canyon as a partner makes it all the more alluring. Mount Bohemia season passes sit at just $117 — a price that rarely gets skiers at major resorts out west even single-day access to the slopes. Mount Bohemia’s season pass is good for seven days of skiing per week, with no blackout dates and one-year access to the resort’s Nordic spa.
Located about 40 minutes outside Idaho Falls, Kelly Canyon is truly an underrated jewel. With 1,000 feet of vertical and over 700 acres of terrain, skiers visiting the resort have plenty to explore. The resort is widely considered one of the best spots in Idaho to learn how to ski, with 80% of resort terrain rated beginner and intermediate terrain alongside a dedicated ski school. While much of the resort is designed for beginner and intermediate riders, it has a solid offering of expert terrain to satisfy Bohemia’s advanced skiers. The resort’s eastern side is full of steeper bowls, tight tree runs, and a few challenging double black fall lines that demand fast-turning action.
In addition to its wide variety of terrain, Kelly Canyon also offers extensive night skiing — something hard to find in resorts out west. Every week from Monday to Saturday, skiers can stick around Kelly Canyon’s terrain until 9 p.m., giving them a unique way of experiencing the resort under the lights.
For Michigan park riders visiting Kelly Canyon, the resort feels just like home. Kelly Canyon builds four terrain parks served by a 700-foot tow rope, allowing riders to quickly get dozens of laps just as they do in resorts across the Midwest.
Despite its smaller size, Kelly Canyon makes up for it with its personality. The ski area has a laid-back, old-school local ski hill vibe with small crowds and friendly skiers, much different from that of a high-priced mega-resort. Its focus on beginner-friendly terrain attracts crowds of mostly local families, after-school riders, and weekend warriors — similar to Mount Bohemia.
Mount Bohemia also recently added Colorado’s popular Loveland Ski Area to its list of pass partners, giving season pass holders another premier resort to check out this season.
With Kelly Canyon now on the Mount Bohemia season pass, Michigan skiers can now enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere and beginner-friendly terrain that the resort has to offer. Mount Bohemia season passes are currently on sale at the resort’s Website.
