A Pacifica, CA resident caught this footage of a young mountain lion crouched in his yard, apparently watching children playing on their bikes in the street.
The big cat can be seen lying at the end of the resident’s walkway, peering through the fence, before moving and jumping over a fence in a different direction, and ends up hiding underneath a car.
This cat does not appear to be stalking at all. More likely young and afraid. It’s unfortunate that this was just copy and pasted – this is how fake news spreads!
The video is inconclusive that the mountain lion was “stalking” any kids. Should be careful about using sensationalist headlines without proof of intent.
