mountainFLOW Receives State Grant to Further Plant-Based Ski Wax Research

mountainFLOW is pleased to announce it has been awarded an Early-Stage Capital and Retention grant through the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) Advanced Industries Accelerator program. This funding will help further the development of plant-based ski wax.

“At mountainFLOW we are always pushing the limits for what’s possible with high performance, plant-based ski wax. However, the process is not cheap or easy. This grant will allow to work with the nation’s top scientists to develop a new line of ultra-fast glide wax.”

The Early-Stage Capital and Retention grant supports businesses commercializing innovative and disruptive technologies in the advanced industries that will be created or manufactured in Colorado. These grants help promote the growth and sustainability of advanced industries across the state by driving innovation and commercialization that move this vital part of the Colorado economy forward.

Mountainflow was awarded $250,000 to research new product categories. “mountainFLOW will be working with the Illinois Tech Center For Sports Innovation to design a revolutionary liquid glide wax. We will maintain our commitment to plant-based and eco-friendly ingredients while leveraging their technology to develop a wicked-fast and easy-to-use product. We are super stoked to see what will come out this partnership,” says Arlein.
