Mt. Baker ski area in Washington state just got 6 more inches of snow yesterday bringing their snow total since last Friday to 36 inches.  They have 40” of snow at the top of Pan Dome and 30” of snow at Heather Meadows base area.  They’ve been packing down the snow with snowcats and they are feeling confident enough to Open on Thursday with all 8 chairlifts open and all 3 lodges open.  They are still saying this is probable and not for sure, but we’re feeling confident they wouldn’t have said anything if they didn’t think it was a go.

Mt. Baker will announce wether or not they’ll open Thursday today before 5pm PST and we’ll let you know right here.

Mt. Baker will be opening up in style…
