Winter’s coming… in the southern hemisphere anyway. Ski fields in New Zealand have had snow guns blazing for a few days now, and woke to up to 7″ of fresh snow this morning.

The Remarkables recieved 7″, Coronet Peak 4″, and Mount Hutt got a dusting too.

With snow guns blazing, and mother nature doing her part, resorts are building a solid early season base in preparation for opening early-to-mid June.

  • Cardrona Ski Resort, Wanaka 12 June to 17 October 2021
  • Treble Cone, Wanaka – 26 June to 26 September 2021
  • The Remarkables, Queenstown – 26 June to 17 October 2021
  • Coronet Peak, Queenstown – 19 June to Late September 2021
  • Mt Hutt, Methven – 11 June to Mid October 2021
  • Roundhill, Lake Tekapo – 3 July to 19 September 2021

Might be time to dust off the kit, start that gym program and get winter ready.
