NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that is calling for up to 4-12″ of snow for Colorado today and tonight.

Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to 12 inches,

“As of 11am Denver-DIA has reported 0.5″ of snow. This brings the monthly snowfall for December up to 0.9″.” – NOAA Denver, CO today

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MST
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Snow occurring. Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  including during the evening commute. Additional snow
  accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to
  12 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Gore and Elk Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys and
  West Elk and Sawatch Mountains.

* WHEN...Until midnight MST tonight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times.
