Yet another May storm is on it’s way to California today. ย The storm today is forecast to drop up to 6″ of snow above 8,000-feet in the Sierras.

This will be the third storm to bring significant snow to the Sierra Nevada mountain since Cali’s first big storm this month on May 7th that dropped 12-18″ on Mammoth. ย Another storm this past Thursday dropped 5″ on Mammoth.
Tahoe’s been getting it from these storms as well but no ski resorts are open up there. ย Some of the Tahoe boys have been getting after it in the backcountry, though.
Tioga Pass and Sonora Pass are still closed.
“The next low pressure system will move into California today, bringing showers and high elevation snow to the Sierra and western Nevada through Monday.
