NOAA is calling for the possibility of an Atmospheric River Storm hitting California this Thursday-Friday.
NOAA has “moderate” confidence that this Atmospheric River Storm will drop “significant precipitation” on California north of highway 50.
NOAA is currently forecasting high snow levels of around 8,000′.
It is evident now that a moderate Atmospheric River will impact the Western U.S. late this week. The current consensus shows that the moisture plume will be directed towards Northern California and the Sierra. - NOAA Reno, NV today
