Large swaths of California have received 800% of normal precipitation for the first 10 days of July.  We even had a Water Spout on Lake Tahoe, CA and 9,624′ Tioga Pass in Yosemite, CA was closed for 3 hours on Wednesday due to snow.  The weather in California in July has been crazy so far.

But it’s not nearly enough.  California is still in an “Exceptional” drought.  No this extra wet early July did not even make a dent in the drought.

Most
Most of California still and exceptional, the most extreme, drought as of July 9th, 2015.
