“Outside of the Pacific Northwest and the northern Rockies region, the western U.S. will be dry over the next 7 days.” – NOAA, today
Not a lot else we can add here. NOAA has spoken. It looks like we’re gonna be completely dry in CA, NV, AZ, NM, UT, & CO the next 7 days.
The cause of the dry, hot weather is big high pressure that is sitting right over California blocking any storms from coming in.
Highs in Tahoe will be in the 60s. The heat will work it’s way into much of the West this week.
The Pacific Northwest will remain in the flow but with high snow levels. Most all WA and OR ski resorts will see mostly rain this week.
In the meantime, lets get and enjoy the great early Spring weather. We’ve got our fingers crossed for the return of cold temps and big snow in the 2nd half of February.
