NOAA: Snow Continues To Fall In California | Another FOOT Of Snow On Tap For Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Great Tahoe Area in California. It is in effect until 4:00am Friday Morning. Heavy snow and high winds are expected to impact the area. The heaviest snowfall is forecasted to fall between 3:00pm – 10:00pm tonight.

Snow levels are forecasted to drop down to 2,000-3,000ft throughout the day today, just in time for heavy snowfall to return this afternoon.

FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow occurring. After a decrease this morning, stronger
 snow showers will return this afternoon. Plan on difficult
 travel conditions. Expect damage to trees and power lines as
 well. Additional snow accumulations through tonight...3 to 7
 inches with up to 1 foot above 7000 feet.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for slick roads and reduced
 visibilities at times.
