NOAA has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada of California today and tomorrow that is forecasting 6-24″ of snow in 24 hours.
More storms are expected later this week.

“A winter storm warning is in effect for the Sierra Nevada from Yosemite National Park to the Tulare/Kern county line from 10 PM tonight until 10 PM Tuesday. Snowfall amounts up to 16 inches is expected above 6000 feet with lesser amounts between 5000 and 6000 feet. A Winter weather Advisory is also in effect for the Kern County mountains from 4 AM Tuesday until 10 PM Tuesday where 4 to 8 inches of snow are possible above 6000 feet and lower amounts between 5000 and 6000 feet.
